#1 The Question (10:25-28)
#2 A Good Answer
Think about what God wants
All of our heart.
All our strength.
All our soul.
All our mind.
#3 Need A Savior
#4 The Parable of the Good Samaritan
The parable is teaching us that there are no boundaries to whom we are to act as a neighbor.
There are no limits to who we are to love as ourselves. We are to be the neighbor to everyone.
Applications:
We should be convicted of our need for a Savior.
We should be convicted to live for Him more completely.
We learn from Jesus how best to help others.
Responding To My Neighbor
- I can be detached from their needs.
- I can be unmoved by their needs.
- I can be involved in supplying their needs.
Reflection question
What excuses do you make to justify ignoring the genuine physical and spiritual needs of people in your life?
Specifically, what “neighbors” does God want us to serve that we have been walking past?
Next Steps meditate on Luke 10:36-37
Get to k n o w my neighbors…personally.
P r a y for them.
E n g a g e with them in life.
P o i n t them to Jesus.
