Focus Moment – April 10th

Silence and Centering

“Be still, and know that I am God; – Psalm 46:10

Confession:

Holy and merciful Father, we confess to You and to one another that we have sinned against You by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart, mind, and strength. We have not fully loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have not always had in us the mind of Christ. You alone know how often we grieve You by wasting Your gifts and by wandering from Your ways. Forgive us and renew in us the grace and strength of Your Holy Spirit. Amen

PAUSE FOR  2 MINUTES OF SILENCE

Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways.
Psalms 17:7 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
God loves us in so many wonderful ways. Have you ever stopped to think of the different ways God loves you? What of His forgiveness, His grace and mercy? Have you pondered His provision, protection and promises? Have you stopped to thank Him for all that you have, all that you have done and all that you are? What of our hope, faith and love He freely gives us? There’s the fruit of the Spirit, the whole armor of God and spiritual gifts. Not to mention Christ’s death and resurrection. And what of the very life He gives us? Every breath we breathe, all the physical blessings that we take for granted. Finally, there is family, friends and wonderful fellowship with those we love. Today, take time to thank God for all the wonderful ways He loves you.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, forgive me for taking Your love for granted. How blinded, how self-centered I have been. Today, help me to see all the many wonderful ways You love me.
AMEN

Conclude with Silence (2 Minutes)

The Our Father (slowly pray this)
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever, Amen.
