Before you begin, pause and ask for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit…
Father, I ask that You give to our community of faith, the gift of brokenness and repentance. Destroy all pride that keeps us from humbling ourselves before You and confessing our sin. Reveal the hidden things of our hearts, Lord – purify us and make us holy! (Daniel 2:22; Psalm 19:12)
Give wisdom and discernment to those who lead us. May they be men and women of Your Word and Spirit, walking in Your ways. Encourage them this day, Father. (Pause and pray for our pastors, elders, deacons, Group leaders, teachers, and all who minister among us. Pray that they will be strengthened and encouraged by the Holy Spirit.)
Pour out Your Spirit on us as we gather and change us into a people that is conformed to the image of Jesus!
