SILENCE AND CENTERING (2 MINUTES)

Psalm 46:10 (NLT)

“Be still, and know that I am God  I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

SILENCIO Y CENTRADO (2 MINUTOS)

Salmos 46:10 (NTV)

10 «¡Quédense quietos y sepan que yo soy Dios!
Toda nación me honrará. Seré honrado en el mundo entero.
Confession:
Gracious God, we come to You confessing we have failed at many relationships. We have let our pride get in the way of asking for forgiveness. We have put our own interests ahead of our family and friends. We have failed to take responsibility when we have hurt others. We have tried to control broken relationships rather than trusting You to help us mend them. We confess, God, we have failed to live as people of grace, truth, and love. May we follow Your example by living at peace with one another, and loving others as You have loved us. In the Name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Acts 11:1-18

1 Now the apostles and the believers who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also accepted the word of God. 2 So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers criticized him, 3 saying, “Why did you go to uncircumcised men and eat with them?” 4 Then Peter began to explain it to them, step by step, saying, 5 “I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision. There was something like a large sheet coming down from heaven, being lowered by its four corners; and it came close to me. 6 As I looked at it closely I saw four-footed animals, beasts of prey, reptiles, and birds of the air. 7 I also heard a voice saying to me, “Get up, Peter; kill and eat.’ 8 But I replied, “By no means, Lord; for nothing profane or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’ 9 But a second time the voice answered from heaven, “What God has made clean, you must not call profane.’ 10 This happened three times; then everything was pulled up again to heaven. 11 At that very moment three men, sent to me from Caesarea, arrived at the house where we were. 12 The Spirit told me to go with them and not to make a distinction between them and us. These six brothers also accompanied me, and we entered the man’s house. 13 He told us how he had seen the angel standing in his house and saying, “Send to Joppa and bring Simon, who is called Peter; 14 he will give you a message by which you and your entire household will be saved.’ 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as it had upon us at the beginning. 16 And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said, “John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ 17 If then God gave them the same gift that he gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could hinder God?” 18 When they heard this, they were silenced. And they praised God, saying, “Then God has given even to the Gentiles the repentance that leads to life.”

Hechos 11:1-8

You have promised, O Lord, to be our God, and we rejoice to be Your children by grace. Hear now the prayers of Your people for all manner and conditions of men.

Brief silence

Your Church is set among many and great enemies, O Lord, and yet You have promised that no enemy will triumph over us. Give us such confidence in Your promise that we will not fear, and give us the courage of Your love that we may love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

You have promised us the gift of Your Spirit to make known to us all truth and to keep us in Your Word. Grant to us, O Lord, faithful pastors who will teach us Your Word and devoted church workers who will serve us in Your name. Bless those now preparing for church-work vocations, and inspire many to follow Your call. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

You have called unto Yourself a people from all nations and races. Bless, O Lord, the missionaries who bring the light of Your Word to those living in darkness. Grant to us the wisdom and gifts of Your Spirit, that we may give faithful witness to Your Son within our homes, to the neighbors nearby and to the strangers we meet but once. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

You are above all things, the Alpha and the Omega, and yet You have chosen to dwell among men. Give us a glimpse of Your glory, that we may know what is good and right and true, the perfect beauty of Your presence. Bless those who in art and music point us to Your majesty, O Lord, and to the promise of Your future, the holy city and new Jerusalem on high. Move us to offer to You our best for Your glory. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

You have given us both bread for the body and Christ, the bread of life. Prepare us now to receive with faith and thanksgiving His flesh for the life of the world and His blood that cleanses us from all sin. Unite us that we may believe and confess one faith, and bring us to that day when we shall be one people together at the table of our Lord. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

You promised our sorrows would turn into joy and we would not long remember the anguish of our labor. O Lord, deliver us from our tears and raise us with the saints of old to know You and to live in the joy of Your presence, feasting together in the marriage supper of the Lamb, in His kingdom without end. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

Now, with confidence that You will grant us all things needful and all things beneficial to us and to all for whom we have prayed, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

John 13:31-35

31 When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in him. 32 If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself and will glorify him at once. 33 Little children, I am with you only a little longer. You will look for me; and as I said to the Jews so now I say to you, “Where I am going, you cannot come.’ 34 I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Juan 13:31-35

Pray The Our Father – Slowly Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

PAUSE FOR 2 MINUTES OF SILENCE
