Prayer Week of July 22-27th

Praying the heart of the Father for the family of God
Strengthen us Father, and bless us with the peace of Christ (Psalm 29:11). In the midst of this tumultuous world, may our lives be centered on Jesus. Father, destroy all pride among us and replace our hearts of stone with hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 11:19). Give us the gift of brokenness and repentance before You. Father God, may we as Your people, increasingly cast all of our cares onto You and seek Your kingdom in the way we live and your righteousness in our lives (1 Peter 5:7; Matthew 6:33).
Father, I ask that the peace of Christ, which is beyond our ability to understand, would guard our hearts and minds. Free us from worry, fear and anxiety. Teach us to truly rest in You – to trust in You (Philippians 4:7; Isaiah 30:15). You are the God of all hope Father. I pray that you will fill my brothers and sisters in Christ at FCC, with joy and peace that their hearts might overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). Father, I pray for those among the FCC community who are new in their faith journey with You, and for those who are still seeking. Increase their faith Father. May they be built-up, edified and encouraged and go onto maturity in You.
Father may our eyes be continually fixed on Jesus, and may we walk in the freedom that He has provided for us (Hebrews 12:2; Romans 8:2). Keep us from returning to sinful patterns of behaviour. Father, may we not only love with the words that we say, but with actions (1 John 3:8-9). Father, Your Word says that if one part of the body of Christ suffers, every part suffers.
Teach us to walk alongside one another and bear each other’s burdens as a testimony of Your presence among us (1 Corinthians 12:26; Galatians 6:2) (Pray for those you know of by name…). Father, I pray for my brothers and sisters who are wrestling with doubt and unbelief, who are being tempted to turn back in their faith journey. O God, have mercy! Pour out Your Spirit and draw them with Your loving kindness once again. May encouragement from the Holy Spirit be poured out on their lives (Romans 15:13)
Father, I ask that by Your Spirit, You would bind up the brokenhearted among us and set captives free. I pray for my brothers and sisters who are trapped in their minds by the pain of hurtful memories. I pray for healing in Jesus’ name, and ask that their minds would be renewed and their living transformed (Isaiah 61:1; Romans 12:1-2). Father, You have said that the sacrifices that You are looking for are a broken spirit and contrite heart. Destroy pride among us Lord and give to us the gift of repentance, I pray (Psalm 51:16-17). Father, I ask that Your Word would dwell in us richly, that we would overflow with Your Word (Colossians 3:16; 1:19-20). Pray that Christ-centered ministries around the country will have increased Gospel impact. Ask God for revival visitations of the Holy Spirit to fall on the national Church, pastors and leaders!
Give us ‘God-sized’ dreams for the ministry that you wish to accomplish through us. Forgive our lack of faith, and embolden us to be risktakers for the sake of Your kingdom (Hebrews 11:1,6)! Father, I ask that You build the house called FCC – we do not want to labour in vain! In Your good pleasure, make FCC prosper. May many be led to Jesus and Your love spread through the city of Plainfield NJ through our lives. May Your favour rest upon us, Lord. Establish the work of our hands (Psalm 127:1; Psalm 51:18; Psalm 90:17). Keep us from turning away from You, Father. May we be steadfast. Revive us and restore us. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Make Your face shine on us, that the world may know that we are Yours (Psalm 81:18-19).
Speak powerfully through the speaker, and may we, as Your people, have ears to hear what Your Spirit would say to us. Anoint him, I pray – may those who lead us in worship be empowered by Your Spirit, those who come tomorrow who do not yet know You, be drawn to You, and O God, pour out Your Holy Spirit on us! Renew us! Revive us! Change Us! Father, prepare my heart to receive the ‘seed’ of Your Word tomorrow. 22May Your Word go deep within me, take root and produce lasting fruit in my life. I ask this for my brothers and sisters as well, change us by Your Word! Pray for the Church of Jesus Christ in your city. Ask God to pour out revival visitations of His Spirit on congregations across the land. Pray that pastors will be encouraged and strengthened and boldly preach the Word of God. Pray that our brothers and sisters worldwide will be salt and light and express the love of Jesus in word and action.
