2 Minutes of Silence and Centering     – Pause for Silence

“Be still, and know that I am God; – Psalm 46:10

Confession: Gracious God, Your love for us is unending, unconditional and unfailing. Even when we wander from Your loving arms, Your steadfast love for us is constant. Our love for You can be fickle and feckless. We wander away into the arms of lust, idolatry, and temporary happiness. You know that we will be unfaithful, but You continue to love us and call us Your own. Forgive us for our wayward hearts, our sinful nature and our failure to remain loyal. Thank You for the forgiveness You extend through Jesus. Cleanse our souls and reconcile us back into Your loving arms. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Scripture Reading:

John 3:14-21 (NIV)

14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,[a] 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”[b]

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

The Our Father (slowly pray this)
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever, Amen.
